Breganze Rosso DOC
The Product in Brief:
The Breganze Rosso DOC from the Firmino Miotti winery is a full-bodied and structured red wine, obtained from 100% Merlot grapes grown on the volcanic hills of Colle Santa Lucia in Breganze.
This unique territory, characterized by mineral-rich soils, gives the wine complexity and elegance.
The grapes are harvested manually and left to dry for 15 days before vinification.
This is followed by 11 days of maceration, with punching down and pumping over to best extract aromas and structure.
The wine is refined in two phases: one part in stainless steel with fine lees in suspension and the other in second passage barriques for 6-12 months.
After blending, it ages in the bottle for at least 12 months, developing depth and harmony.
With an intense ruby red colour, the bouquet features notes of small red fruits and hints of vanilla, with spicy nuances.
The taste is dry, persistent, with sweet and enveloping tannins that give an extraordinary softness and a long finish. Perfect with braised meats, tasty red meats, roast kid and mature cheeses.
Thanks to its structure and complexity, it also lends itself well to dishes rich in flavour and long cooking times.
It is recommended to serve at 16°C, after adequate oxygenation, to best enhance its aromatic bouquet and depth of flavour.
