Rosso Veneto IGT Alicea
The Product in Brief:
The Rosso Veneto IGT AliCea from the La Caneva dei Biasio winery represents a red wine of great importance, obtained from grapes grown in the areas most suited to red wines in the Veneto region.
The result of a careful selection of the best vineyard parcels, this wine offers an authentic expression of the territory and the local winemaking tradition. Bordeaux blend produced from Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes, selected to ensure complexity and structure. The grapes are left to dry in the vineyard by cutting the shoot, allowing a natural concentration of sugars and greater aromatic complexity. The harvest is late, to ensure complete ripening of the grapes. Rosso Veneto IGT AliCea has a ruby red colour which, with ageing, can turn to intense garnet with purple reflections.
The taste is dry, balanced tannic, soft and full-bodied. Supported by pleasant acidity and tertiary hints of aging in oak barrels, which vary from vanilla to blond tobacco. It concludes with a harmonious and satisfying finish, inviting another sip. Ideal with grilled meats, braised meats and medium-long aged cheeses. The combination with game is interesting. It is recommended to serve it at a temperature of around 16-18°C to best enhance its organoleptic characteristics. Rosso Veneto IGT AliCea can be stored in the cellar for several years, improving with time. It is recommended to store it in a cool, dark place free from sudden changes in temperature, preferably in a horizontal position to keep the cork moist and preserve the freshness of the wine.
