The Mulino di Zoppola is a charming place in the picturesque village of Zoppola, in the province of Pordenone. Its story began in 2013, when Daniele Lecinni, a passionate restaurateur from Pordenone, decided to bring new life to this ancient mill and create something unique. In 2018, the Mulino di Zoppola opened its doors as an authentic osteria, offering guests delicious meat and fish dishes. But there was still something missing, a void in the heart of this place. During aperitifs or after dinner, people would always ask:
What gin do you have? And the vermouth? Make me a special cocktail, I’d like something bitter, but not too bitter.
The vast selection of spirits on the market left everyone a bit disoriented. Daniele knew it was time to make a difference. With passion and skill, he created the Risorgimento 5 liqueurs. Using grain distillate, juniper berries, botanicals, passito wine, leaves and aromas, herbs, and officinal macerates, he crafted his gin, vermouth, aperitif, and amaro. Each liqueur is produced in-house, blended and refined with the help of skilled artisans, as if they were sediments of past memories fused with a contemporary taste.
But Daniele wanted his liqueurs to be more than just drinks. He wanted them to tell a story. This is why he chose amber bottles that, like treasure chests, protect the gems within. The labels recall old apothecaries, evoking the scents of herbs and spices once hidden inside. And there’s more: each bottle bears the name "Risorgimento," a tribute to the mill’s address, Via Risorgimento 5, and to the period when the most famous Italian liqueurs first appeared. The Risorgimento 5 collection is a perfect union of tradition and innovation. The bottles are produced by a Spanish glassworks specialized in recycled glass, recalling the ancient beauty of pharmacy vials. The stoppers are made of recycled wood, adding authenticity and sustainability. Each Risorgimento 5 liqueur is a masterpiece in itself.

The Vermouth, made with local Verduzzo passito wine and botanicals such as bitter orange, Roman wormwood, oregano, musk herb, mountain savory, cinnamon, and cinchona, is an amber-hued elixir with floral and balsamic aromas. Notes of spice, vanilla, and almond dance delicately on the palate, creating a complex flavor that envelops the senses. The Aperitif, on the other hand, is a true bitter. Its bright red color captures attention, while the nose is filled with intense citrus and balsamic aromas, with a distinctive note of cardamom. At the first sip, the Aperitif is round and enveloping, but the finish is surprisingly bitter, taking the palate on a journey of flavors.

The Amaro, inspired by the Friulian tradition of grappa-based bitters, is a true delight. Enriched with mandarin and rhubarb, this liqueur offers a herbal and citrusy sensation, with a pleasantly bitter aftertaste that teases the palate. Finally, the Ginepro, a 40° compound gin, stands out for its direct citrus intensity. Bergamot and coriander create a unique flavor profile, giving the gin a bold yet refined character. An explosion of flavors that shines fully in a gin and tonic, enhancing the aroma and leaving a lasting impression. Today, the Mulino di Zoppola produces around 8,000 bottles of Risorgimento 5 liqueurs, carrying forward the tradition of craftsmanship and passion that began with the mill’s renovation. The Liquoreria Risorgimento 5 has become a true landmark for mixology lovers and those who seek authentic, high-quality liqueurs.

Every sip of a cocktail made with Risorgimento 5 liqueurs at the Mulino di Zoppola is a unique experience, a journey through time that unites past and present. In this magical place, memories intertwine with modernity, creating an atmosphere where tradition and innovation blend in harmony.
Every glass raised is a tribute to the passion, art, and love for liqueurs that Daniele Lecinni has poured into each bottle.
