Grignolino del Monferrato Casalese DOC - Selezione
The Product in Brief:
The Grignolino del Monferrato Casalese DOC by Tenuta Vallone is born in Conzano, in the heart of Monferrato, a territory recognized as a UNESCO Heritage site for its extraordinary viticultural and landscape value. In this unique context, the winery cultivates the Grignolino vine using careful and non-invasive agronomic techniques, respecting the natural balance of the vineyard, with meticulous work and limited yields that allow for the best expression of the territorial identity. Made from 100% pure Grignolino grapes, this wine elegantly and authentically interprets one of Piedmont's most characteristic grape varieties. Maturation takes place in steel for 13 months, a choice that preserves freshness, tension, and aromatic integrity.
In this 2020 vintage, the wine was further aged for about 10 months in small oak barrels, in barriques and tonneaux, with the sole aim of guiding the wine towards greater harmony without distorting its typical characteristics. In the glass, it presents with the typical light and brilliant ruby color. The olfactory profile is distinctive, with spicy notes intertwined with a bouquet of small red fruits. On the palate, it is elegant, fresh, and dynamic, with a pleasant aromatic persistence that recalls the fruity and spicy sensations perceived on the nose.
