Malbech IGT
The Product in Brief:
This Malbech I.G.T. from the Caneva dei Biasio winery is made from Malbech grapes grown in the flat and foothill areas of eastern Veneto, where over time the variety has found an ideal environment to express itself with elegance and softness. Native to south-western France, Malbech spread through the Veneto from the second half of the nineteenth century onwards, finding in the alluvial soils and the temperate climate a perfect balance between body and freshness. Vinification takes place in steel at controlled temperature, followed by ageing in the bottle that brings out its fruity fragrance and pleasant roundness. It shows a deep ruby red colour; on the nose it offers notes of red woodland berries, raspberry in particular, with a delicate herbaceous hint. On the palate it is dry, soft and harmonious, enjoyable in its first years of life.
