Müller Thurgau is an aromatic white grape variety created in the 19th century by the Swiss oenologist Hermann Muller through cross-pollination between Riesling Renano, Silvaner and Chasselas, grown mainly in Friuli Venezia Giulia and Trentino Alto Adige. This Müller Thurgau delle Venezie was included in the “Il tralcetto” range in 2009, immediately revealing excellent expressive potential thanks also to the favourable temperature variations recorded in our vineyard in Codroipo in Friuli Venezia Giulia, which give its aroma those unmistakable typical fruity and aromatic notes.
Straw yellow in colour with greenish reflections, it has a fresh and delicate aroma, with floral hints of peach blossom, dog rose and elderberry, aromatic herbs and sage, fruity with notes of candied fruit, melon and peach. The distinct aromatic note and the harmonious and elegant body well support freshness, finesse and intensity, leading to an intriguing finish, which leaves a memory of bitter almond. Recommended as an aperitif with crudités, it pairs perfectly with risotto with asparagus, grilled sea bass and shellfish, cuttlefish and peas, dairy cheeses and jams, rather than fried sage.Traditional dishes: “risotto ai fenoci” or “Venetian-style spider crabs”
