Recantina DOC
The Product in Brief:
The Recantina DOC AliCea from the Caneva dei Biasio winery is a red with a strong sense of place, an elegant reading of an old native Venetian grape. The grapes are grown in carefully chosen vineyards on the best hillside sites of the Montello and the Colli Asolani, where the swing between day and night temperatures brings clear scents and a natural balance between structure and freshness. Vinified on its own, Recantina AliCea stands out for aromatic intensity and finesse. After a traditional fermentation with maceration on the skins, the wine rests in the bottle for 3–6 months, keeping its fragrance and varietal character.
To the eye it shows a purplish red that turns towards garnet as it evolves. The nose opens on red woodland fruit (redcurrant above all), with floral notes of violet and cyclamen. The palate is dry, soft and harmonious, echoing the fruit found on the nose. Perfect with pasta dressed in rich meat sauces, medium- and long-aged cheeses, grilled meat and braised dishes. Serve at 16–18°C.
