Marselis Marselan Brut Sparkling Wine (Charmat Method)
The Product in Brief:
Redalmo's Marselis Marselan Brut Sparkling Wine is born from a research project aimed at enhancing a rare grape variety like Marselan in a new and contemporary guise. It is a rosé sparkling wine, obtained from a short maceration on the skins, which allows for the extraction of aromatic complexity and a delicate chromatic component typical of the Marselan grape. The grapes come exclusively from estate vineyards located in the hilly area of Lonigo, in the heart of the Berici Hills. Here, the calcareous soils of marine origin, rich in red clays, contribute to defining a fine, savory, and mineral profile, enhancing the characteristics of the grape variety. Vinification involves careful management of maceration and controlled temperature fermentation, while the Charmat long method sparkling process and aging on lees for several months enhance its fragrance and aromatic finesse.
In the glass, it presents a pale and brilliant rosé color. The nose reveals hints of small red fruits, flowers, and delicate spicy nuances, while on the palate it is fresh, balanced, with good acidity and a fine and elegant perlage that harmoniously accompanies the sip. A versatile, modern, and distinctive wine, perfect for accompanying convivial moments, from aperitifs to platters of cured meats and cheeses.
