REFONS Rosso Veneto IGT - Marselan and Merlot blend
The Product in Brief:
REFONS Rosso IGT by Redalmo is born from the encounter between balance and originality: on one hand, the roundness and elegance of Merlot, and on the other, the distinctive personality of Marselan, a rare French grape varietal still uncommon in Italy. A blend that embodies Redalmo's production philosophy, capable of combining tradition and experimentation in a contemporary vision of wine. The owned vineyards are located in the hilly area of Lonigo, in the heart of the Berici Hills, on calcareous soils of marine origin, marly and rich in red clays. A territory that gives structure, depth, and aromatic finesse to this intense and enveloping red.
In the glass, it presents an intense ruby red with violet reflections. The nose reveals elegant hints of undergrowth and red berries, from sour cherry to plum, as well as redcurrant and blueberry. The sip is soft and round, with velvety tannins and a finish characterized by notes of cocoa, black pepper, and sweet spices, which amplify its complexity. Aging in French oak barriques and tonneaux for 12 months, followed by a long rest in the bottle, contributes to defining a harmonious, deep, and persistent profile. A wine designed to accompany important dishes and more structured tasting moments.
